The Huff Connection!

I forgot to tell you about our trip into Martinsburg, West Virginia and the genealogical society. Well, problem number one... they are only open on Friday and Saturday unless you make an appointment. Problem number two.... you have to make an appointment at least 3 days in advance.


Oh well .... we made lots of discoveries around town on our own. We found an old rail station that was just like something from "Gone With the Wind". There was also a beautiful old home that once belonged to a Civil War spy named Isabelle Born Belle Boyd. I'm anxious to look her up.  


The information we found said she led quite a life.  So many of the houses seemed so old and the countryside really made you remember so many things you learned about the Civil War.  Guess I'm sounding pretty silly, but it's fun just letting your imagination go.
