Tired in a wonderful way!

Almost too tired to write tonight, but it's kind of my late night therapy. It's a warm evening and I've got my music going as I write.  I feel so technological just because I can do two things at once.

We took the bus to the rail station this morning and began a day absolutely filled with museums and awe just looking around.  It is so beautiful just to stand on the grass between the capitol and the Washington monument.  So many people hurrying by in one direction or another and not seeming to even see what is around them.  I'm sure that once they felt like I do, but now they just go about their daily lives and have become part of the capitol picture.

Tomorrow we have passes into the capitol ... Pete and Linda have a connection who works on Pennsylvania Avenue and she got them for us.  It's going to be an early morning trip in but should be worth it.

I've really enjoyed just watching the people here.  All concentrating so hard on one thing or another.  We haven't seen very many sightseers .... summer travelers are home and this seems to be a quiet time.   I can really picture John Bollin back here.  He would fit in so well.  Wish John and Aileen were still living in D.C.

It's late... I'm tired... and morning will come too soon.  All is well, having the time of our lives.

Much love,

Mom
